MY KITCHEN WORLD


Today I am presenting you some kitchen items .

Every women have intense wish about well equipped kitchen ,I am also not out of that .It is my 

addiction to collect different kitchen utensils and accessories from different places  .Well equipped 

kitchen not only help you to indulge in cooking , it also looked so smart for your guests ……I think so .
Recently I collected different chopping board of different sizes . Chopping board is very essential 

part  of our kitchen world .It helps to cut vegetables in proper way and in proper sizes .You can carry 

it in your drawing room only with a knife to cut veggies  with your family. You don’t feel bore to do 


your job (cutting veggies) alone in kitchen . I do it .





There are three chopping boards in different sizes in my hand now . I feel excited .I got a good result to cook various  dishes , ( as cutting of different vegetables in proper sizes is very important for a dish 


1    A big one helps me to cut veggies like onion , potatoes and others in big sizes . This is made of plastic.

2    Next there is a chopping board made of bamboo sheet .It has a really an attractive look ,it is wooden in
ti color .Bamboo is the choice of many environmentalists because it is sustainable ,
3      renewable resource that needs no chemicals to thrive or be harvested . So it is really acceptable for me to use .

4      Last one is very important for me as this is a gift (I think so ) from my grandma .It  was made of original wood.
o.It has a rectangular shape . As it is wooden thing , it is really healthy by nature .It is handy  also.
a .I feel difficulty to peel off  garlic . This board  help me to do the tough job in easy way . There are thousands of chopping boards in the market .But I enjoy these boards very much . those are knife friendly.

WHIPPED EGG COATED IN RICH MATOR DAL (TASTY INDIAN RECIPE)



Welcome to my blog and have a feast.

  Few days before I visited my father`s house and stayed for five days .


 When I go there I am really curious in searching my old collage books ,diaries and copies. 

Here I got my grandma`s cookbook .I was so happy and excited to have it .It helps me so much for 

cooking different old ,authentic dishes for my food lover husband .I told my daughter that here is this 

grandma`s cookbook  for the recipes I gather from all Bengali motherhood


Mator dal is relatively common in Bengal . It is called split peas in English Dal is something, which 

is an integral part of every Indian meal. Me and my Mom made this dal as” Tak Dal”( a Bengali 

recipe).It is very common in Bengali but today I am sharing with you a different recipe which is from 
my Grandma`s cookbook ,the name is Whipped egg coated in rich Mator dal.


HERE IS THE RECIPE

INGREDIENTS :


Mator Dal : 400 grams
Egg : 3
Tomato : 1
Onion : 1
Spices : Turmeric powder : 1 table spoon
Red chilly powder : 1 teaspoon
Bay leaf : 2
Red chilly :1
 Garam masala :  ( cinnamon stick ( 1 inch) ,clove :3 to 4 ,cardamom :2 to 3 in  number .)
Whole cumin : 1 teaspoon .
Ginger : 1 to 1 ½  inch
Green chilly : 2 to 3
Mustered oil : required amount 

Salt  to taste .

 COOKING TIME : ½ HOUR



























HOW TO MAKE :  1)Boil mator dal with 1 pinch  of turmeric powder and required amount of salt .



2) Boil 2 eggs and cut  into 4 pieces each .Keep 1 egg for coating on boiled egg .

3) Make smooth paste of onion ,green chilly and ginger .


4) Cut each boiled egg into 4 pieces .Take a bowl and break an egg in it . Smooth the egg batter with 

spoon .Add little salt in it . Ready a korai  with  mustard oil for frying  egg pieces. Now dip an egg 

piece in whipped egg batter and fry . Keep all ready coated egg pieces aside .


5)Keep a korai on gas oven with hot oil in it .Add bay leaf , red chilly ,and 1 tablespoon cumin 

(whole)in it .Wait for cracking sound ,after 3 minutes add red chilly powder for good colour ,1 

teasoopn of sugar , some pieces of tomatoes ,paste of onion ,ginger and chilly ,fry until good smell 

comes out .Now add boiled dal  , boil for 2 to 3 minutes  .

































6)Now the time for adding boiled  coated egg pieces .Just boil for minutes .Before taking off the heat 

add little ghee .It is really a different delicious dish,I share. I feel grandma`s touch in this dish.You 

can cook this recipe with chana dal also .







Serve Dal with hot rice or roti .
