PHOOLKOPIR KOFTA (KAULIFLOWER KOFTA)




Kofta means dumpling made of different veggies or non veg items in gravy or in dry state.

I made koftas with cauliflower .It was really very tasty and was appreaciated by my family members.

I am sharing with you .

Here is the recipe.



INGRDIENTS:


Kauliflower -2

Onion – 1-1/2 (big sizes) (paste or grated)

Ginger and garlic paste -2 teaspoons

Bay leaf -2

Cinnamon stick –long 2 pieces

Onion (chopped) :2

Gram flour( besan)-6 to 8 tablespoons or according to need

Turmeric powder-2 tablespoons 

Cumin powder -3 tablespoons 

Clove and cardamom-4 to 5


Mustard oil-100 grams

Salt to taste.

PROCEEDURE

Take a big bowl.Put grated cauliflower in it ( wash cauliflower and grate cauliflower properly).

Add chopped onion,ginger garlic paste (2 tablespoons),

Cumin powder (1 tablespoon)

White oil (2 tablespoon) ,red chilli powder (1 tablespoon),gram flour (besan) 6 to 8 tablespoons in it.

Mix all ingredients very well.





Make small to medium sized balls from this mixture If you are not able to shape into balls, then add some water and make round shaped balls These are called kofta.Then fry the kofta like the way pakoras are fried.








Put korai on gas oven.Add oil in it.On the gas and let oil to heat.

Add chopped onion,bay leaf,cinnamon sticks,cloves ,cardamom in little amount .Add star annies.Now add tomato and chilli paste when good smell comes out.




Let boil the mixture by adding water in it.Add little amount of sugar.Now the time to add ready koftas and boil for 4 to 5 minutes.Put ghee and Garam masala for better flavour and smell.Put the lid on korai and wait for minute.





Garnish with corriander leaves.



Serve hot with hot rice or hot parathas.
