Besan burfi is a very common traditional sweets all over India. People of different regions make besan
burfi in their own ways. These are quite similar to beasn halwa or besan ladoo It is a very easy process
to make it.When suddenly guests come to our house and we have no stock of any sweets in store,
need not to be worried about that. This easy recipe of beasn ladoo will help us.
.
I made a simple fusion in making besan ladoo.I use dark chocolate and nuts in besan .Actually frankly speaking my husband likes dark chocolate. We know that dark chocolate is a healthy substance. And for that an idea came to my mind to make besan burfi with dark chocolate.I use pea nuts also.
HERE IS THE RECIPE:
COURSE: DESSERT
CUISINE: INDIAN
PREP TIME:5 MINUTES
COOK TIME:30 MINUTES
RESTING TIME:2 HOURS.
INGREDIENTS:
BESAN / GRAM FLOUR: 2 CUPS
NUTS:2 CUPS
SUGAR : 3 CUPS
WHITE OIL: 1 1/2 CUPS
DESHI GHEE 1/2 CUP
DARK CHOCOLATE : 4 TO 5 SQUARES ( grate chocolate squares in grater).
DRY MILK POWDER: 2 CUPS
ALMOND AND CASHEW NUTS: 1/4 CUPS ( FOR GARNISHING)
PROCESS:
Grind nuts in grinder.Grind sugar in grinder.Make it half dust.
Keep karai on gas oven.Put all materials in karai according to measurements except dark
chocolate.Switch on the gas.
Stir continuously all ingredients.Keep the flame in low state. At the time when materials does not catch
the body of karai now add grated dark chocolates.Again stir, the barfi does take some effort but believe
me it is worth it.Take a plate or any flat glass bowl, grease it with deshi ghee and pour ready
materials.Keep it 1 hour for rest and then give shapes.Use almonds and cashew nuts for garnishing.
You may use sugar syrup. In that case you prepare sugar syrup previously.Sugar syrup has to be of right
string consistency ,otherwise barfi will not set.Once the barfi is set cut into your desired shapes. There
is no need to keep in fridge.
Our "BESAN BURFI WITH DARK CHOCOLATE" is ready.
I think it will help you .Thank you
